#shaun on May 16, 2019 :
Mississauga is getting more dangerous by the year.My dads car gets robbed. More break ins, muggings, shootings are happening in Mississauga. I see drug addicts on the street and subways its crazy.
#Mississauga on Dec 19, 2018 :
Time to move. I don't feel like I live in Canada any more. Sad.
#Felix on Dec 13, 2018 :
Yes... that is true that there is less white people each day. The colors drive the crime rate upwards, while everything else spiralls downwards. Sad.. Stop bringing dark skin immigrants.
#Cooksville on Dec 09, 2018 :
I also live around Cooksville and it is just like India but in Canada. The only good area in Cooksville is the neighbourhood close to the hospital because of the families that live there and there is a lot of Polish families there and many old people. Many Polish families are moving like my neighbour because of the crime and more immigrants but it is still bad compared to other areas in Mississauga. Mississauga is now not safe like it used to be.
#Idk on Dec 09, 2018 :
I live in Cooksville and it is getting more dangerous and scary every year with more crime and more problems. There is also a lot of immigrants in this area that may be good for some people that are new to Canada. 5 years ago I saw more families that live around hear that think that it is safe, but with the crime and drugs it is not know how it used to be, someone in my apartment died from drugs recently and that is happening a lot around this area. Also sorry I am writing late.
#Jorge on Dec 07, 2018 :
Mississauga is the WORST. Very Very liberal City , all things degenerate welcomed here.
#Tony on Dec 03, 2018 :
Mississagua is just a reflection of what Canada is turning into...
#Farooq Khan on Nov 26, 2018 :
Mississauga has nearly no white people left. The few that remain come to this page and can be seen ranting about high crime. Mississauga is a large city and crime rates are in proportion to other large cities. There are poverty-stricken pockets like Applewood and Cooksville. But even those are safe in daytimes. Mississauga has a lot of people of Carribean, Pakistani, Arab, Filipino, Black, and Asian (Chinese, etc.) descent. Absolute majority of these people from all communities are hard-working and tax-paying. House prices have climbed steadily and real-estate still shows a healthy demand. The mayor is a liberal party member that welcomes immigrants and that makes some ranters on this page frustrated.
#Kent on Nov 13, 2018 :
The City is not what it used to. Very Sad.

#Ash on Jun 13, 2018 :
There's been such a noticeable decline even in the past 6 months that it's the very reason i stumbled upon this page so I could research if I'm the only one aware of this. Hearing multiple sirens pretty much every day now. Makes me wonder if I'm in suburban Mississauga or am I actually in the projects of Compton.

Geez Louise.

80 year old sexual assaulted at Erin mills and rainbow crest..... Mississauga is turning into the slums
#Sam on Mar 29, 2018 :
I have to wonder, seeing these comments, how much YOU have done in your community to make it better? Or do you expect these things to happen on their own? You have a responsibility to keep your community safe, clean, and friendly. I see a lot of blame going around. How about some suggestions?
#Jon on Mar 11, 2018 :
The tsunami of pakis is coming! get your families out of this city as soon as possible don’t be surprised if square one gets bombed
#Alli on Mar 02, 2018 :
I have to say that in the last 17 years of living in mississauga, I am now disgusted to for nice nature walks in parks such as: Lakeshore, erindale park, saddington,etc... anywhere and everywhere, there are brown people with 50 of their family members, making a huge mess. It's DISGUSTING! These people have zero culture. You can't even enjoy a nice walk along lakeshore because these people are everywhere. Why can't they just BBQ their food at home??? Why can't they clean after themselves. It's so selfish!! It's so gross!! Go rent a hall if you want to party. I don't want to see hundreds of brown people cooking their food that take over the whole nature. I can't enjoy a stroll without closing my nose. When I see these people doing this, all I want to do is go up to them and tell them to get out. I don't want to see this garbage happening around mississauga. Something has to be done about this.
#Mike Smith on Feb 17, 2018 :
My 90 year old mothers house was robbed by three blacks while she was home. She lived in the Edenwood Britania area single family residential. Home defence is the answer. Learn your rights and defend your family and home.
#JHK on Jan 24, 2018 :
If you’re looking for a safe, comfortable, happy and beautiful place to live, stay as far away from Mississauga as possible :)
#Anonymous on Dec 20, 2017 :
Been seeing a lot of crackheads latley some have serious anger issues
#Manny on Dec 05, 2017 :
A large portion of Mississauga has plummeted downhill.

I would now say Mississauga has more crime then Brampton or Etobicoke.
#Brett on Aug 31, 2017 :
I've read a lot of your comments . I live in New Zealand and looking to move to Canada . New Zealand born , educated and in senior management . Kids left home so now its time to explore and work in new places . Would you class me as an immigrant taking a job or someone adding to the culture ? Is Mississauga safe across the board or like all areas of the world and Cities and towns, you have bad low housing area which then breeds crime top spots .
If you could pick a place you could move to in Canada that is safe and has a good work environment where would that be ?
#Carl on Aug 17, 2017 :
The fucking apartments in applewood and cooksville are shit and there is alot of drugs deals in these areas
#Anonymus on Jul 21, 2017 :
In truth, if we deport all immigrant branched people, the only ones left here would be the animals and plants(some of them are also immigrants like purple loosestrife and zebra mussels).
#Anonymus on Jul 21, 2017 :
Are you an aboriginal or part of the first nations? If so then I respect your decision. But if you are white, you to are part of an immigrant family. Heard of history class?
#Anonymus on Jul 21, 2017 :
dear #Johnny,
What do you mean by brownie? There are billions of brownies from many places. What country are you referring to?
#Magyar on Jul 06, 2017 :
Stop exaggerating, people. Mississauga is not that bad.

I do agree that crime is getting worse. Lot of increase in shootings and violence over the past couple of years. There also seems to be a large increase in prostitution around the SQ1 area. Plenty of stuff going on in those shiny new condos. Fortunately, it seems like most crime is organized in nature instead of just being spur-of-the-moment like it is in other large cities. In most shootings and violence, the victim seems to be targeted and aren't just random.

I'm not anti-immigrant in any form whatsoever, but every now and then, people do bring their problems from home with them and it really shows. Some project housing neighbourhoods can be a nightmare. Mississauga really needs to work on social programs and growing jobs in the worse areas. The way this city is growing, it can't be an immigrant suburb forever. You can't have a city of almost a million people with little to no economic production in the downtown core, because people will find it harder to find work if they aren't as wealthy, and will turn to crime.

Mississauga is nowhere near the crime hell that people are describing, but it definitely needs improvement in all areas.
#Dorothy Pardy on Jun 14, 2017 :
My 17 year old son just got assaulted walking home from school at 2:50 p.m. He did nothing wrong. Just minding his own business and some punk started beating him. This happened a block away from home. Mississauga is sinking fast. Support our wonderful police officers who face the battle every day. Put pressure on the mayor and city hall to get their act together and focus on the real problems. Mississauga is going to lose some great residents.
#Christine on May 31, 2017 :
Omg it's getting so bad here in Mississauga , there's so much panhandling going on every where and I see drug addicts and homeless people all over Dundas and hurontario
#Mary on Apr 28, 2017 :
Trudeau and Wayne are to blame for all Ontario...Ontario is transforming itself into Detroit. Don't bring immigrants here, take care of your own. There are no jobs for the highly educated people here...only those with connections and without education have jobs. Why do you bring so many immigrants in when they cannot afford a living? NO JOBS!!!!!! People who have PHDs and work at the gas station. Awful.
#Fred on Apr 28, 2017 :
Yes, Anonymous, ad another shooting yesterday in Cooksville. And, I saw a young man pointing a gun at a waitress who was his ex- (this was on Dixie Rd at City Sports Bar by a hotel. Wow. So dangerous. It is a lack of jobs and lack of economic opportunities that make this city very dangerous. And, buckle up or leave (it will probably become like Burnaby, BC and other such place crime ridden). Very scary. So unsafe for families with young children.
#Batman on Apr 20, 2017 :
It's not about the immigrants, the crime rate is increasing due to all the trends going on. Just look at all the music videos what are they about ... violence, drugs, sex, alcohol and etc. Everywhere you go in the world, crime will always be there and is increasing rapidly.
#White ppl stfu on Mar 31, 2017 :
Lol stfu about sauga is mini middle east overwhelming majority of sauga is white. Visible minority is South Asian (Indian,Pakistani,Sri Lankan,Bengali, etc), Asian (Chinese, Filipino, Korean, etc). And Black (Jamaican, West African, Somali, etc)
#Marley on Mar 15, 2017 :
Malton is ghetto already two shootings in the year last year there was 6 and not nearly as much population as other areas
#Fred on Mar 15, 2017 :
If you don't realize that mississauga has turned into a mini middle east you need to. This will be the downfall of mississauga mark my words.
#Kelly on Mar 04, 2017 :
Too many immigrants making the place shady. So many kids that cannot even form a sentence in English or french. A beautiful city that has really gone down hill.
#Anonymous on Mar 02, 2017 :
Yeah two shootings yesterday. One man dead in city centre. And a few minutes later another shooting happened in Cooksville.
#Anonymous on Feb 21, 2017 :
There aren't a lot of legitimate opportunities for young millennials to make money in the GTA anymore. In Ontario circa January 2017, 21.5% of men 25-29 are NOT EMPLOYED and 13.5% of men 30-34 are NOT EMPLOYED (Source: And January is traditionally a good month for jobs. Because you still get some leftovers from the holiday hiring cycle. When the February/March numbers come in, the employment rate is going to be even worse.

What are these men doing with their life at that age if they are not working? Some of these mature aged men may be in school or in grad school or re-training. But I doubt that makes up the majority for 25-34 year old men.

So with the lack of opportunities, they turn to selling drugs. They turn to crime.

You want this to stop? FIX THE FUCKING ECONOMY STUPID. I'm looking at you Kathleen Wynne and Justin Trudeau. Canada and Ontario need a Bernie Sanders or dare I say a Tommy Douglas. Bring back jobs, LIVING WAGE JOBS. Make Canada Great Again. Trump is a trustfund billionaire. We will not do anything for the working class in the United States. And a Canadian Trump (like Kevin O'leary or Kellie Leitch) isn't going to do jack shit for the Canadian working class.
#Troll on Feb 14, 2017 :
Lol someone said Mississauga is slowly turning into Detroit. Bit of an exaggeration. Yes, gun crime has increased rapidly by 105%. But this city has a normal crime rate. Only ghettos of Mississauga is Malton, Cooksville and Woodlands.
#Fred on Jan 28, 2017 :
The crime rate has gone from bad to worse. The criminals are organized. They plan a burglary days in advance. Sitting in their cars watching the streets. They know when no one is home and plan their attack. There are over 100 burglaries and stuff stolen from cars in your own driveway every month. They police can't stop them. If they could then the crime rate would have gone down. Mississauga is slowly turning into Detroit.
#Toronto Boi on Jan 15, 2017 :
In 2017 it seems that armed robberies are now for the norm in Mississauga. Gun use in 2016 increased by 105% by 2016 compared to 2015. This is what happens when a city grows unfortunately.
#Anonymous on Jan 06, 2017 :
New year and already had my neighbours house broken into. Simple solution to get rid of this....Stop Muslim immigration.
#Anonymous on Nov 26, 2016 :
Why the fuck is wrong with Mississauga I mean it what the fuck
#Anonymous on Nov 26, 2016 :
Mississauga is a good city but I never thought that it is a crime place so sad
#Harpershouldwon on Nov 23, 2016 :
Its only like three areas you should worry about. The reason why so many people are concerned is because a lot of stuff happens in Malton, Woodlands , Cooksville that no one is informed about. There's a lot of drug dealers in their German cars and chains around the Cooksville area. And there successful because you don't hear about it.
#Anonymouss on Nov 06, 2016 :
Too many people from Rexdale, Regent, etc moving to sauga.
#Dont Matter on Sep 05, 2016 :
Most of the drug dealers here are Pakistanis and Somalians.Lol how Muslim of themz
#Anonymous on Aug 28, 2016 :
Yep another robbery around the erin mills area.... start the week with car getting broken in and end the week with a robbery and a cop getting hit by a cruiser on the mississauga Rd near streetsville... this city going to hell.
#Helping on Aug 04, 2016 :
10 years ago Mississauga was viewed as a safe city. Time flies...doesn't it? Its sad how the crime rate has increased this high and the media barely reports it. Giving the view to neighbouring cities that its a safe city. However they will unfortunately find out the hard way. People think its safe to hang out at night in areas like cooksville but they learn their lesson quick.
#Richard on Jul 30, 2016 :
I 100% agree with the three previous comments. The Blacks and the pakis are slowly but surely destroying this city. Every single paki lives on welfare and sells weed. Now theyre gonna sell crack soon because the libtards are legalising weed.
#kays on Jul 30, 2016 :
As racist as this sounds, majority of people that are doing the crime here are black. st
#Anon on Jul 29, 2016 :
It's sad how mississauga is a more dangerous place then toronto, you would think that toronto would be a worse place to live. There's so much going on in mississauga, houses burning down, people getting shot, people getting stabbed, a lot of the things that happened arent released to the public. I have been sent down to the station as a witness to a stabbing and I've heard about a bunch of people I know getting stabbed. Just yesterday a friend of mine got seriously beat up because of these problems going on and then later that night someone gets shot
#Johnny on Jul 28, 2016 :
Immigration is killing Mississauga. All the Brown and Black people are troublemakers.
Brampton is by far the worst dump of them all. Brownies everywhere.
I blame Liberal governments who let all this ethnic trash in our nice city. Politicians just buying immigrant votes.
We need to get rid of most of the bad black and brownies that are destroying this once fantastic city. These people are just no good.
#Juan on Jul 16, 2016 :
This place is weird and be cautious because some of the crimes in this place are very weird and disturbing
#Karen on Jul 09, 2016 :
All the crazy shit that happens in the Toronto area is in Mississauga. Serial killers burning house down, Violent fist fights over parking spots in a car park. People trying to escape police. ALL OF THIS HAPPENS IN MISSISSAUGA CRAZY ASS PLACE
#Anonymous on Jun 25, 2016 :
Mississauga is safe if you come from the ghetto like brampton but if you live here for more then 20 years you know it gone downhill specially around lisgar, Meadowview and Erin mills... nothing like see a kid (black or brown) with a bong walking around the local elementary school in the afternoon. But then I am use to it seeing it in Vancouver around east hastings or surrey.
#Tyerese on Jun 15, 2016 :
Sauga is fine. They're worse areas out there...Just don't go malton or cooksville and act like a wasteman who's asking to be boxed
#skzip on Apr 25, 2016 :
Mississauga is one of the safest citiesin Canada and North America. People stop exaggerating. Like every city there are bad spots. Malton is pretty much the only bad area in Mississauga. The population is small but the amount of murders and shootings are somewhat high. If you think Mississauga is bad you haven't been anywhere.
#Dave on Mar 29, 2016 :
Absolutely shocked by the previous comment! Race has nothing to do with the violent crime rate. Mississauga is one of the most diverse places in the Toronto area. Has the crime rate grown? Of course it has, The police are patrolling the streets of Cooksville and Malton. And it not just brown and black people causing this. Plenty of lower class eastern european thugs in the city. Mississauga has grown and so has the crime rate.
#the Glen Area on Mar 25, 2016 :
Erin Mills has definitely went down hill. You now have young people breaking into cars and the co op housing with shady people. Too many lower class from brampton and malton move to 10th line. We use to be able to leave expensive european cars on driveways but now we leave them in the garage at night cause of the indian black and middle eastern kids going around and messing people property. Meadowvale is worst due to all the warehouse shady people.....
#Vannesa on Mar 21, 2016 :
Mississauga is growing rapidly and so is the crime rate. I would recommend to live in the city centre area,Erin mills or streetsville. Areas I wouldn't recommend if you are concerned about safety would be Malton,Woodlands and Cooksville.
#Ahmed on Feb 22, 2016 :
Mississauga is a safe city(IN MOST AREAS) Erin Mills, Streetsville,Meadowville are nice area's for raising children. However areas like Applewood,Malton , Cooksville crime has increased rapidly. If you live in any of these 3 areas you will see at least a few police cruisers and ambulance daily. Especially places like cooksville has a drug problem its Tim Horton's is surrounded by crack heads and young people who are stuck in the lower class system. Its Hillcrest buildings may look decent but it has tons of stabbing and if I were you I wouldn't live in these areas if you're raising children.
#Tremel Bunbury on Feb 18, 2016 :
Seeing those numbers, it's pretty much a safer community. Don't know why everybody is so paranoid about Mississauga.
#John on Jan 10, 2016 :
I have no idea why people think this city is safe, Places like Malton and Cooksville is hell if residents assume you're a stranger. I have been robbed 4 times in a week.So happy I moved to Oakville
#cc on Dec 19, 2015 :
I have noticed the quiet and peaceful area of port credit on the water front in mississauga slowly take a dive to a shady and sketchy place to live. I hate to say this but its all European decent fresh immigrants dirt bags plus some thugs from toronto moving into the area that have made it scary to go out at any time of the day. There is a corner near the rabba that has a young white Slovak looking douchbag dressed up like a rap star standing on the corner all day wearing the usual jump suit, just waiting there, its obvious what he is doing. Then there is his handler or pimp/ drug holder that walks around or sits in his car also wearing a looser matching jump suit. Who is stalking the area, i have witnessed him following young girls and propositioning them, i have seen him steal food stuff from the surrounding area and give it to the young kid on the corner. Plus I have been approached by young attractive girls trying to spark up a conversation at all hours of the day and they look desperate but dressed well. Its all off putting I wont even leave my house any more if i can help it and im a large male, i just feel like prey when i walk the streets, the police need to patrol the streets way more often like they used to, i have moved away to get away from that whole scene. I can see port credit becoming worse in the near future, even thought the rent and real estate is overly high, they come from the cheaper surrounding areas to put forth there scummy shadiness, i dont understand why these people dont just get jobs Mississauga has tons of them. The night life and restaurants suck here as it is, and adding the drugs and prostitution is only going to bring Port Credit to its knees no pun intended.
