Taipei can feel very lonely at times. Even more lonely than Japan. That is why I don't like it.

There is not a lot to do here.

People here are polite on the surface but very fragile underneath. They avoid real world interactions unless they’re planned or safe. They stick to routines, move in groups, and need social cues to feel comfortable. If something unexpected happens, they look at their phones because it feels safer than dealing with the world around them
