Yup Still bad here. Not enough jobs and homes to go around and TOO MANY people here. There's not enough jobs at all and those that are available require schooling that I don't even think exists. Toronto and Ottawa really messed this place up. For some reason, immigrants fresh out of India keep flooding here still and ruined most homes. Drugs and crime are still at their highest here.
Toronto keeps sending us their homeless on buses.

Used to be cheap but got infected with the toronto speculator virus over the last 7 years. Most jobs are In the automotive industry and service industry like the casino. Average house price was 260000 back in 2017 but now it’s around 550000 so you need to be making a Toronto salary on the high side. Crime and drug addiction is rampant lots of overdoses in broad day light

I would not recommend living here. Not only is the city a very negative place to live, but the schools are not up to the standard they should be. The housing is insane and there are limited places for entertainment. If you are ok with visiting the USA often for entertainment it might be worth it. Is it cheaper than Toronto? Yes. Is it warm? Yes. Is the city getting more unsafe by the year? Also yes. If you're looking to live here, we are having a housing crisis. If you want to live in a fairly bad area, you can do that for a decent price in comparison to the the rest of Canada. But we are no longer the cheap paradise we used to be. It used to be cheap to live here despite how awful the city is. Now it's overpriced and impossible to find good housing in an area without drug and gun violence.

Despite what the previous comment asserts, employment opportunities are actually nonexistent. Windsor has a population of 300,000 but has the employment capacity of a city one third that size. There is no way to support yourself here, the jobs simply do not exist.

Employment opportunities in Windsor are rich, but quality of employment is relatively low. For the entrepreneur, there is roughly 500,000 people within a 1.5 hr radius. Though it is possible to successful begin a business here, the growth rate potential stagnates

If you've got a half million in cash, you can guy a house in Windsor. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
