Air quality is fine but Perth is a horrible dump of a city.
Mr Martis on Jan 28, 2023:
Air is great. Refreshed every afternoon by then 'Fremantle doctor' coming straight off Great Southern and Indian oceans.*
The people who try and say differently need to read the particulate pollution numbers above.

I agree "No complaints at all". In fact, we need more burn-offs. Perth is so safe we need to keep it that way or improve it.

*Making me think of beautiful sunsets esp. Over the ocean now.
Also isn't most of this stuff known world wide?

The air quality in Perth is great, people are compaining about the wonderful quality of life they have in Perth. Imagine what it would be like of you were living in Kanpur India, it's PM2.5 is 173, ours it 8. You are bloody ridiculous.
#iliveinperth on Nov 14, 2019:
The only problem with Perth is the occasional Burn offs or fires but these are mainly completely natural and the air clears up fairly quickly. Please stop hating on this beautiful city because of natural or needed fires.

All of y'all are complaining about the air pollution. Yes its a bad issue and it needs to be solved, But if you think about it. If we did not have burn off imagine how many houses would be under threat if someone was to light it. Imagine what destruction that would cause. Imagine how many people might die. We also can't fix all the problems Perth has.If you also look at the time your shire or city is burning off you'll see that its in the time when burns are legal. Before you complain you should really have a look at why the government it's actions

It is now mid June and pretty much every week there is smoke in the air. This is getting ridiculous, why do those behind this think that they get to control our air quality and pollute it for everyone else.
Mr Wilson on Jun 06, 2019:
the air quality in perth started to decline rapidly under the previous conservative government with huge numbers of trucks coming on to our roads, and also due to the significant number of cars now on our roads. (which is not related to government so much)

I notice that none of you have addressed this fact? vehicle are a major source of polltion in cities yet you lot are banging on about burn offs.

Its just a shame that governements are unwilling to tackle thesee problems, and regrettably we now how a progressive government that pays lip service to the fossil fuel industry and is essentially a conservative apologist.

more regretbaly we just had the chance to get more electric vehicles on the road and reduce pollution but bogans and the greedy liberal voters provided a mandate for more of the same shit we've always had. and whats that you say? let me tell you: POOR OUTCOMES!
