Spokane is not a place I would recommend at night. You will see homeless people in the day and at night. They often appear to be drug addicts shouting at nothing. Vandalism is common. There have been assaults in the park by drug-addicted assailants. You must hide your valuables if you leave them in the car. I would not recommend wandering the city during the day or the night. The city needs more police and probably a bigger jail. The crime seems to be increasing every year. Public transit is relatively safe, however, the bus depot in the city is a scary place with many sketchy people. Do not make eye contact, keep your distance, and avoid conversations.

No clue why being worried about an insult would affect anything with crime or where get the numbers to put into the formula to get these index numbers but seems like could be bit diff from what have.... Maybe not????
