Worst place I've been. I stayed at one of the most famous resorts there and didn't feel safe though. You step your foot on the sand and there are thousands of f*c* annoying sellers harassing you to buy their products, my family and I were almost extorted "to go see their products". You go for a walk at the beach and thousands of these thugs HARASS you take a look at their products, it doesn't matter if you say NO, they follow you for minutes trying to convince you to buy their knockoff products.
You cannot even relax on the beach, they are everywhere.
The same for Santo Domingo, the worst place I've been by far. I do not recommend it, even if it is for free.
Horrible experience
