Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are very popular for fake experience certificates. It is a very lucrative business here. Plenty of Telugu people produce fake experience certificates and get into software companies.

With these fake work-experience certificates, plenty of Telugu people eventually migrate to United States of America and permanently settle in USA. Each fake experience certificate for a Telugu person will cost atleast Rs. 40000. It is no wonder that many software companies exist in cities with large Telugu population such as Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.

I am working in a startup in Hyderabad and its employees are keen on using all the data and comments in this website. It is very useful for our ongoing statistical modelling project for an American client.
We will definitely use Numbeo API for our project. Big Thanks to Numbeo for giving discounts to startups. We are located near Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad. We will also subscribe to the Numbeo newsletter.

Agreed on the unsafe nature of Hyderabad, but I don't think comparison with Bangalore makes any sense. In my opinion, both Hyderabad and Bangalore are highly unsafe places, filled with crime.
Both Hyderabad and Bangalore deserve a crime index of above 50.
Hyderabad and Bangalore are worst cities for women safety in South India. Pickpocketing, robbery including burglary, chain snatching and problems from transgender beggar gangsters are equally worst in both Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Vaishnavi on Jun 22, 2020:
Hyderabad is highly unsafe and notorious. Crimes such as molestation of women, pickpocketing, theft, chain snatching and extortion are very high in Hyderabad.
Being a woman, I felt a lot safer in Bangalore and Coimbatore, compared to Hyderabad. As #Hameed has rightly said, Hyderabad crime index should be more than 50. The present numbers shown in this page are very less.
Except for Hyderabad, Telangana is among the most backward states in India. Hyderabad has plenty more slums than Bangalore. Bangalore is much more cleaner and greener than Hyderabad. As a woman walking alone in Hyderabad, I never felt safe especially after 6 PM.
Hameed on Jun 21, 2020:
Regarding crime, Hyderabad is much worse than Bangalore. The information is sugar-coated in this page. Hyderabad crime index should also be greater than 50.
Robbery and violent crime are very high in Hyderabad.
Vijay Roy M on Jun 18, 2020:
Crime Rate in Telangana State impressive comparing with all other states.

I feel proud to be living safely in cyberabad limits.

Miyapur police also doing good. But I request to take (Janapriya apartments phase 1) in miyapur under control of police ONLY. Because so many mobs gangs take law and order in to there hands. These mobs and gangs are with families living in sane locality. This is not coming to notice of Miyapur police officials.

To be frank this is a society with rigid and corrupt dark society. Women involve in disputes. There is no respect for law. Any case is judges by this society with out approaching police and courts.

I also request a Efficient state intelligence officer to appoint who can monitor these area continuously living inbetween them and save true information. ----So that gangs mobs works can disclose and especially in advance there is a peace in our locality. This will also help Miyapur Police officials

Thank you in advance for reading my comments.

I appreciate your prompt action by confidentially only.

Both Hyderabad and Bangalore are horrible places to live.
Both Hyderabad and Bangalore offer worst quality of life.

Software companies are modern day slavery. The only option is to permanently move out of India and settle in a foreign country.

I think safety index should be 30% on practical terms hyderabad is pretty much unsafer than delhi and kolkata
Ganesh on Dec 01, 2019:
The horror incident that happened very recently in Hyderabad was absolutely diabolical and sheer disgusting for humanity's sake.
The poor woman was raped, murdered and burned for no reason. The cops are not doing anything. Hyderabad has become the city of the Devil, and not just a mere hellhole.
Vamsi on Nov 30, 2019:
Crime index of only 39 is absurd for Hyderabad. These numbers should be much higher for Hyderabad.
It is horrific to even think about the recent Rape and Murder incident of an innocent woman in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad is another Hellhole in India's chain of pearls (so called cities). How can software companies even think of investing in such a terrible place like Hyderabad?
The recent rape and murder incident speaks volumes about Hyderabad. Several rape and murder incidents have gone unreported in Hyderabad in recent months.
Someone Who Knows on Sep 13, 2017:
Most corrupt police force and government officials. We have the best damn police that money can buy. Corruption is a parallel economy here. Justice Aggarwal is quoted as saying, "There is no organization more corrupt than the Indian Police .... Police only understand the crack of the judicial whip"! Unfortunately, the judiciary is also corrupt. So we're f***ed either way.
