dog attacks are a real issue in Canberra. too many irresponsible dog owners and no action from the local government to reduce the risk of attack

I live in a place with government houses so every now and then, something bad happens.
1. While I was walking at night I think I saw a drunk driver because they were about to hit a pole. 2. In my suburb, a house got burned down and a mother with 2 kids died, I think so.
3. Some crazy person tried to break into the house next to us, I know this because the police came to our door so they could question my parents if we had anything to do with it.
4. My sister left our bike outside near the bus station, the next day the wheels were stolen. Crazy place but it's not as bad as the USA.

Had my car attempted to be stolen as I was leaving work a little after 6pm, luckily I belt the scum. This was near the cop station and they took well over 20mins to arrive. Did they catch the criminals? Of course not, despite car brake-ins being a major problem in this town the cops are too busy handing out speeding fines, ie the real criminals. They told another neighbour to have the government pay them more so they would investigate his car tyres stolen (he had video footage for them as well).

I love Canberra, I mean who wouldn't.
Everyone's employed and over paid or going to Uni. Canberra is clean and modern, laws are more relaxed then the surrounding states, everything is cheaper including property and food - all good.
Immigration seems to be restricted to Diplomats and Chinese tourists only, so you still get 10 points for spotting an Asian and 5 points for spotting an Indian.
And, if you're the son or daughter of a Diplomat, you can still get pissed and drive over the top of a Chinese tourist and get away with it.
Just love Diplomatic Immunity.
