William on Sep 07, 2025:
We moved to The Hague this summer (from Oxfordshire region, UK) and our life improved considerably.

We paid a ridiculously high council tax in the UK, getting nothing in return.

Being employed here is such a different experience, sickness leave is very common and well compensated.

I live in the city center, 1.5 bedroom penthouse 1300 euros incl. all utilities + fiber internet.

I make 4123 euro/mth (after tax), working as a system administrator 36 hours a week.
