Catcalling is quite a problem here, just as in any other (relatively) big city in The Netherlands. I know that burglary is a thing here too. However, the streets seem pretty safe. The police is doing a great job patroling the city center, and quickly reacts when something is off.

As a woman, I feel safe walking in the Hague, even at night, in most neighborhoods of the city. Of course, I always need to be aware of my surroundings, but that is not because of the Hague, simply because I'm a woman.

People from all over the world, many different religions.

Yes, there's muslims, but don't forget most are hard workers and well integrated.

An 18 year old muslim kid who works in the supermarket makes about 2150 euro netto in 2025.

And without a job they get 70% of that as welfare + allowances for rent and healthcare.

A big difference with other countries where you get nothing if you don't work.

That's why the Netherlands is so safe compared to other countries.

And why you see no beggars in the streets (even those get welfare).
