Hi, I plan to move to Shenzhen for two years. It's supposed that I will earn approximately 12.000 CNY per month. Could you please tell me if you know the % that I have to pay for taxes?

Hi, my family and I and are planning on moving to Shenzhen - Shekou for work. My wife and I will both work and earn each approximately USD60K. School covers rent. What is the potential savings we could expect? We have one child who will be enrolled at school and his tuition will also be covered by the school.

Hi Nicholas it quite a good salary to live in SZ. btw, would you mind telling the company's name?
Nicholas on Aug 29, 2017:
Hey, want to get some advise for the daily rate of USD500 enough to survive for a single westerner IT Consultant in Shenzhen, the company does not provide the accommodation, transportation and annual home-land ticket. Hence with this amount would be estimated around USD10500 per month.

Hi James, girls are expensive but worth it. Do not accept any job in the tech industry for less than ¥100k. Shenzhen is expensive but there is plenty of fun to be had if you have a decent salary.
James on Jul 20, 2017:
Hey, I got an offer for a job in Shenzhen paying 100k a month. Will it be enough to live like a westerners and hook up with girls every week?
Zhe Zheng on Jul 05, 2017:
A family of 4, living a middle class life comparable to the US would cost you somewhere between 20k to 50k RMB a month. Really depends on where you live in the city. in the center, by the sea, you'll pay 20k or more just for rent. Live in the outer city, you pay less than 10k, and everything is much cheaper. For a single person, it would cost you 10k to 20k, I think.

I am offered a position in SZ for CNY 87000 per month but I have to pay for my apartment. Is this a reasonable salary? I am currently living in Japan and earning more than that but the cost of living here is higher.
Is it true that it's difficult to hook up with local single women there?
Thanks!
