property taxes are on the high end.i lived in this home for 10 years and property taxes have jumped from 1300.00 to 2600.00. snow removal is very poor. city of 90 thousand population runs a 200 million deficit. tax dollars are very poorly managed.the city civil servants, council , mayor can not balance a check book for the cities tax payers.i am still in the workforce , however some retired folks i know are living on change as the cost of keeping the very basic needs keeps them from doing any activities do to all of red deers hidden fees.
