I'm planning to study at Brno University.
Is 800 Euro ~ 20,000 CZK enough per month as a student ? (I'm introverted and I live a pretty quiet life - no night clubs/pubs and whatever).

Thank you in advance

For everyone's comparison, I currently make 40k gross, which works out to 32k after taxes. For that I can afford a decent flat (studio, but a large one in a recently renovated building, 15.7k including utilities), the occasional restaurant/night out, and even a bit of travel if I'm careful, though after that I don't have much to put into savings.

That being said inflation is pretty high now, and if I were to continue making this salary I'd probably have to start making some sacrifices. So for February 2023, I'd say you can live alright with a roommate from 30k (gross), live alright by yourself from 40k, and live well for 50k+.

Thank you man.

I wanted to specify my net salary. I mean after taxes I will see 42k monthly salary. I think that's not bad for two person. If I find rental apertment for 15k. Rents are so expensive btw.

Thanks again

But remember its for one persone. Even clear 30k is ok.Rent for one is around 15k. So you have half for rest. Food is around 8k on average.(no restaurant). You can even safe some little money. With 40k youre good. For two you can multiply. 60k is ok. 80k is good.

Clear 40k is enough for Brno. And if you have own flat/house.. You can live on higher note.

Hi everyone
I would like to ask if salary around 27 to 30k net would be enough for one person to live in brno?
Edvaldo on Oct 23, 2021:
Hi to everyone,

I would like to ask you if a salary around 40.000 CZK (already discounted for tax and health & social system), would be enough for me and my wife?

We do not worry about living in a 1 bedroom flat.

Moc děkuji

yes, it's enough to support whole family, so if you're alone, for sure you can make savings from this sallary

Hello everyone,
I got a job offer from a good company in Brno. The gross salary is 51000 monthly. Is that enough to cover all the living costs (rent, food, transportation...)??
Can I still make some savings from that?
