Andrej on Mar 25, 2019:
Cheap flats, low rents, quite a lot new shared service centers, good public transportation and not much traffic jams (compared to e.g. Prague or Brno), best wage to costs of living ratio out of Czech large cities.

As a typical coal & steel post-industrial town it had some difficulties with its main industries decline in 1990s and early 2000s, but it recovered, unemployment is low now and life is good.

Ostrava is an excellent city to begin one's career.
