GUANGZHOU Is in for the shock of it s life . If a virus hits the city ( which it will ) many will die Because health and hygeine is not important . I see suppose Young / fit /healthy men and women push and shove the old / frail and pregnet out of the way to grab a seat on the subway , Refuse to stand even if the pregnet lady is struggeling . Streets are a breading ground for infection and many accidents happen because the traffic rules are NOT enforced . The hospital s will be able to back up My statments with the amount of known entry s Not counting the ones under the radar . If You want to be a world power be a careing mature Goverement . Yes CHINA You have come a long way in a short space of time , But You are about to pay a heafty price for the rush most things are about 30% more than other country s not includeing cars and housing which is more . Your population will increase in the next 10 years so will Your problums BIG TIME

Oh my god, The air is polluted, city center the new town area is ok but the rest of the city is quite ugly. They clean the streets and some places they even wash but is looks gray and not clean. Taxies smell some toxic thing better to use uber, but no english speaking people and they call you on your order and when find out you are a foreigner they simply cancel most of the time. Good restaurants are expensive. Moderate ones not clean enough. There are parks but not very attractive due to hot weather and air pollution. water is even a bigger issue then air pollution. People look calm and friendly but not open due to language barrier. The city is boring for city activity, the local zoo is old and ugly, they have a nice safari park which is fine. Circus is fun for one or two visits.
Starting and operating business too expensive and complicated for foreigners, corruption is a big obstacle and business attitude is very weak.
For traders and whole sale buyers it has been a popular place for last 20 years, if it is a must you can survive for a while but for living it is a terrible place.
