Safety is very dependent in Tehran because north and south are two different world, North part (5of22 districts in Tehran) is somehow 9 times more expensive. I never being robbed or have fight or problem like this in last 35 years since I was born, but my car have been robbed couple of times. in general its better not to show off your shiny stuff or leave your stuff unattended. Mobile theft is serious problem so always keep All-time update function ON ,in your smartphone. The of being robbed by police is more than anyone! also watch out for motorbikes that sometime even mock the Police! be safe

Tehran was good from middle to top of the city before 2018 from 2019 it started to get worse day by day, as of today in 2022 i from Tehran am easy to say, Tehran is now one of most dangerous city on earth, and be aware that other cities in iran are even more dangerous than tehran specifically southern states and cities, if you are a female or kid you are more in danger, kids and female are subject to abuse and rape in all Iran, at nights especially if you need to stop at red light you need to be very be-careful i was near to get rubbed or killed at red lights by young boys they attacked me and open my door with knifes because my feet was on pedal and i was ready for it i successfully drive outed situation fast i didn't even notice them with all my cautions, if there isn't any police camera feel free to drive through red-light at night, motorcycles are dangerous entities during day and night be-careful of open windows during driving, mostly at night they will abuse people and frighten you i remember a motorcycle put out knife at me with no reason i was lucky that i was in a larg street with no traffic, you check news of Iran day by day people get knife or rape killed in iran and tehran is one the cities i remember very well a video of a man that did 60 knife stabs to a young boy, listen to me there is no force or essential stay far from iran...
