Crime in Tarragona, Spain

Wife and I driving from Barcelona to Valencia on A7 we stoped on the highway lookout to take a picture of the Aqueduct. Little did we know its a hive for bandits, there were kids playing so we had a feeling that we were safe. Little did we know our tire was punctured. About a mile down the road rear tire deflated. Pulled over to check as soon as i got out of the car a silver/greay BMW suv pulled up front, guy jumps out trying to help me comes to back of car where i was, at that point hes barking orders and seems very nervous. My wife exits car at passengers side, and sees another person sneaking around to the driver's side, she screamed i called police and the camera is activated. At that point i realize what was going on. I grabed car jack and started yelling and chasing the one who originally came out to help. Both ran back to the car where a 3rd bum was waiting. The ran off. Wife finally called the Police, 112 they didn't seem the bit interested. Be very leery in Catalonia area. Alot of issues. Stay in groups, know where your going. If driving, do not stop on highway. Also if you rent a car as we did if there is a rental car advertisement on tag, demand it removed if rental agents refuses just brake it off. An officer in Valencia who was very kind that we meet when the was on duty told us that ad is a red flag.
