Dude I got robbed by three local youths from a group in a park. The neighborhood looks sketchy. Avoid it by night.

Been born and lived here for 25 years. I can kinda agree with the numbers but with a comment. The sad thing with L'Hospitalet is that there's a BIG difference between neighbourhoods. It's mostly a working class city but there are some nice and calm neighbourhoods where there's not much negative to say (in regards to safety), but then you also have some neighbourhoods that can sometimes feel like a warzone. All in all, I've personally never had an issue living there, and I still go there to visit my parents and it's all perfectly fine, but there are some big issues that the local government hasn't bothered solving for decades. That has created lots of ghetto-like areas that everyone should definitely avoid, and those areas are getting bigger the longer they let time pass.
