I have lived in Pretoria all my life and have never been subjected to crime or know of anyone close who has, being ranked number 2 in the world is absolutely insane, these rankings need to be veried somehow, they are dangerously misleading to the rest of the world

We live on the outskirts of The East of Pretoria on a smallholding. Crime is high. We started a patrol group but the moment we stop the looting starts again. They cut your fences and poison your dogs. All members of my family has been subject to crime.

100% depends on where you live. Pretoria is a huge city and making any blanket statements about safety etc. will definitely not resonate with many people. Would probably get more accurate data by sub-dividing Pretoria.

Most of the East of Pretoria is more than fine in my opinion. Where I live crime is pretty much non-existent.

Take this result with a grain of salt.

Robbery and theft at least once a month in my area Pretoria East, numbers are very accurate if not lower than reality, do not walk at night and if during the day do not give attention to anyone that approaches you. In fact just move out of South Africa

I stayed in Pretoria for 20 Years for me Pretoria was very safe, I moved out in 2015 some of my relatives are still staying in Pretoria.

This will either be very accurate or very inaccurate, Pretoria east is the exact opposite, however anywhere else, you're incredibly accurate, but cost of living and property prices are high in Pretoria east aswell

Not sure how your data is gathered and compiled, but Pretoria is probably one of the safest cities in South Africa if not Africa. I understand Johannesburg being rather high, but having Pretoria 2nd overall shows how inaccurate your data is.
