Estrado 6 has even more crime especially since robbers know that's where the money is from foreigners. As a rule living in a barrio has much less crime than anywhere in Pereira.

My family and I are from another Country and we live part time in Pereira for the last 20 yrs and lived different “Barrios” 4/5/6 and never seen what you say, if you walk around thinking or saying that you’re better than the rest of people, then you’re in the wrong place and people don’t like that.
I travel all Pereira, I go to downtown Pereira And never seen or had any bad experience, never seen violence and all the nonsense you’re talking about.
I don’t know where the heck you have been that year but definitely not in Pereira and definitely not in a ESTRATO 6.
Cost of living is decent that allows you to have every weekend a nice little get away around nice and picturest towns.
Nice weather, people and places.

Plot a line from from the mountains south of Medellin to Pereira/Cartago, to Armenia,to Manizales and back to area south of medellin and you will find the best place to live. High standard of living and education, low crime and nice people. Mountains complicate travel in the Zona cafetera.

Pereira is one of the nicest cities to live in Colombia. Beautiful culture and people. Great weather. It is a medium size city and I live happy here.

Pereira is nothing short of a shithole.Heavy drugs and violence day or night.I lived there for one year and left and I lived in the nicest area. All figures should be at 100% it's that dangerous.
