Just returned from a short break to Bologna, whilst staying there we visited Modena for the day. Having spent a beautiful day we stopped off in the park on the way back to the train station to Use the toilets, as I waited outside for my husband I was extremely uncomfortable as a man ran around the corner, saw me and changed direction and loitered for a few moments. The toilet attendant spoke to the man and they both glared at me and started to approach, as they did my husband reappeared and the man walked away and the toilet attendant sat down. I am under no illusion that had we both been in the toilet block we would have been robbed or worse. NEVER use toilets in parks if they are away from crowds.
