Im the same guy from the last comment, just realized that the major of Craiova prefers to just pay people or retire traffic fines those civilians have to push the narrative on Numbeo and other sites about statistics that Craiova is super clean, safe and obviously extremely non corrupt (LOL) so they can scam tourist, international students and investors into coming here instead of actually doing something against the corrupts (himself) and the gangs (his friends). I know this because both my girlfriend and I got paid for it and of course did the complete opposite, that's why I rather remain Anonymous to remain ridiculous traffic fines, if you see the city reaching 500 contributions before New Year it's just me and the major's internet prostitutes going back and forth.

And anybody that lives in Craiova knows some stats like home burglary, assault, vandalism and corruption, especially corruption, it's too low from reality, how does Craiova have a lower corruption perception than Timișoara? Be serious.

There has been 30 contributions in the last 5 days which want to push this narrative of the town being super safe, so when Craiova will have the lowest crime rate in Europe don't take it seriously because it's actually among the worst cities for crime in Romania, just look at the corruption and home broken percepetion being super low out of nowhere.

I’ve been living in Craiova all my life but I also travelled a lot. Craiova is one of the safest cities i’ve seen, and i’ve been in other cities like amsterdam, paris, london, sofia, rome, florence just to name a few. It is one of the best cities to raise children for its numerous schools and safe environment. As a woman you can walk by yourself at any hour of the day or night without anybody harassing you, even in the outskirts of the city, plus, every street is very well lit and that enopowers the feeling of safety that you feel. Overall people are very friendly and if you visit you will have a very nice time here.

visit the botanical garden or cathedrals, other than that craiova is a fourth-world city full of street gangs, do your best to avoid anybody in there

I’ve been living in Craiova most of my life, but I have also lived in other cities in The Netherlands and Romania plus I’ve spent long periods in other western European cities and I can make some personal/subjective observations. The city is very safe with the exception of a couple of remote areas which you might want to avoid or be more careful while passing by, but I think every city has those. You actually feel safer in Craiova than in most European capitals or large cities. The perception of an unsafe city is created by the media which always tries to exagerate and insist on rare incidents in the past (in the areas mentioned above) for the sake of audience.
The previous comment is either ironic or simply ignorant. :)
