$125 for gas, eclectric, water. I'll have to ask for a few k from the utilities dept.

@Cesar Roncallo, You're pushing it but if you know how to live cheaply, you'll manage. You can find decent shared housing for $650 + utility. In this case, it may be a struggle to find cheaper housing since you generally don't want your rent to cost more than 1/3 of your salary. Everywhere is accessible by public transportation. Or walking/biking. You can find cheap food and drinks at neighborhood bars. If you're looking for cheap/safe young professional neighborhoods (gentrified)I suggest looking in South Philly, Spring Garden or West Philly (below 48th street). Good luck!
