In Germany, around 50% of your income goes to taxes and social contributions. A significant portion funds refugees who contribute little or nothing, yet exploit the welfare system. It rewards laziness and is routinely abused - paid for by those who actually work. Hard-working people should seriously consider building their lives in a country that respects their effort.

I've heard that Berlin is the least expensive capital in Europe to live in. Not sure if it's true.

I can recommend Berlin, Germany to anyone who wants to receive money without working. In Germany, you will receive Bürgergeld, which is similar to a universal basic income, without the need for employment. However, for those who want to work, Germany is a very bad country, because a significant portion of income taken through various taxes. Additionally, the level of bureaucracy is extremely high, often resulting in lengthy processes for even simple tasks.

90k is enough in Berlin to have an easy life here (even if you are not single, still doable). 50-60k salary in Berlin is standard.

Is it worth to live there with a salary = 90k for a couple? I got an offer with a relocation package, but I have heard that CoL in Berlin extremely high and Numbeo doesn't show true CoL there.

Software developer with 10 years of experience might expect between €80-90kpa, which will amount to about 41-48k net. Despite extreme rise in cost of living, Berlin is still relatively affordable and rent is "reasonable", i will still suggest renting thru an agency as they tend to be predictable and more responsible.

How much is good annual compensation for a single person with 10 years of software development to stay & work in Berlin. Can anybody share any views on my request with gross salary and net salary after tax deduction?

For the sake of independence and survival, Europe must immediately ban gas throughout Europe and the gas must be immediately replaced with other cheaper alternatives coming from such as hydropower plant, Nuclear energy, wood, coal, etc which can be independently produced in Europe without requiring dependence from untrustworthy source.

It's time to build Nuclear power plant as much as necessary in order to provide sufficient power for Europe as well as to provide the free city transportation including bus and train powered by electricity in order to discourage the public from using the oil fueled cars as the first step to permanently remove oil dependence from Russia and Russia's manipulated OPEC.

Dear Numbeo, dear Numbeo users,

can you please disaggregate reported data points by zip code and allow for longitude and latitude / exact address?

Once that is done you can use different aggregation levels (city boundaries, metro area vs. zip-Code oder perimeters/polygons)

In a larger city you have subdistricts where e.g. a certain drink costs EUR 3.00 and another district (500m or 10 km away) where the cost ist EUR 12.00. Seeing an average does not help all that much.

The point is: Variability within a city can be much higher and also much more relevatn within one city as compared to between different cities.

Maybe someone can share how this thought may be incorporated within numbeo already or how people typically go about augmenting data in this regard.

Thank you and best regards
