It's expensive to live in almost any city center. I didn't graduate h.s.; g.e.d., paid my own way through school (twice, once 10 yrs later) and did this while having 2 children at 19,20 and being a single father since they were 4,5 respectively. We've lived in a 3k sq ft house for over 5 years now, best school districts, taking trips overseas, etc.. and they are in 10th and 11th grade now. I don't say this to brag, but let you know if I can do it, you can too. Takes discipline, you will sacrifice in the beginning, but reap massive rewards in the end. Don't forget to praise the one who keeps you steady even when you try to falter. That truly matters.

Georgia has horrible prices for everything. It cost more to live than the 8-10$ per hour the employers tend to pay anywhere.

I would really like to understand how this helps at all? I want to move out there from where I'm at but the expenses pile up more and more as I add them up. I'll be in debt before I even get a chance to raise my babies

Where are they finding apartments for around $1,000 in the "city center?" I'd sure like to know.
