I was born here and moved to Edmonton for most of my life, I recently moved here for a job & I live near the hospital.
Compared to Edmonton I'm not finding the place that sketchy. I am seeing a lot of homeless people and occasionally having people shouting at me ect, Nothing I'm not used to from Edmonton though. Fairly sure my neighbour is a drug dealer as he is constantly leaving and having guests all hours of the night.
Annoying but doesn't seem dangerous.

To sum it up what I'm saying from raw experience is that in red deer I feel slightly more safe than downtown Edmonton.
I often seemed to run into a lot more sketchy organized type of criminals/ gangs there at night. Here it seems more likely you might run into a strung out homeless junkie. Either way though if you are a young woman I would suggest avoiding leaving at night unless you are with friends or a group. otherwise perhaps wait at the nearest store to your bus stop, Some areas are safer than others like any city but it's always safer to do things during the day time if you can.

My doctors told me to stay in the waiting room due to how rough it is outside in Red Deer.

The guy complaining about scooters, your an idiot. There is age restrictions. You not
Liking electric scoots I’d say your 55+ years old. Move into a home. Mailing in videos of people taking stuff off your porch will do nothing. It’s not the police fault. Instead, don’t have stuff left on your porch. This didn’t happen prior to Amazon and everyone was fine then. If you wanna use Amazon, accept the risks. The hun being pulled, I’m sorry for that. We need open carry law so people can defend themselves.

Cars broken into, and stolen from, is a frequent occurrence. Porch pirates galore. The entire town is sketch. Sent footage of multiple incidents to Red Deer RCMP, but they're not interested in doing anything more than mailing out speeding tickets.

Mayor shoving e scooters into our pathways everywhere with little consideration or planning for safety of scooters but particularly little or no consideration for safety of motorists and their rights or people of all ages, particularly seniors, using walking paths. Where is her brain? AND she is supposed to be a leader?? NOT !!

I had a gun pulled on me by some random guy. He seemed out of his mind.
