Calgary is very safe it is rare you will see crime the only thing that worries me about calgary is getting items from my car stolen and people doing drugs

Take normal precautions. If you go out, lock your doors, lock your car doors, be aware of your surroundings. Most crimes seem related to drug use (normal for a large city with a fairly young population and probably the cause of most car thefts and stolen property). Don't be a drunken fool or take drugs, and you'll probably be fine. There's been a spike in crime in C-train stations lately, which do need more night time monitoring, and probably related to drugs. Again, be aware of your surroundings just like you would be anywhere! Random attacks are very rare.

"being insulted" isn't a crime, and should not be included here.

Calgary is a very safe. Violent crime is very uncommon. But anything not dynabolted to concrete will be immediately stolen and/or trashed. Vehicles getting broken into is quite a problem, so hide those valuables.
