Hi, Say.

Living in Okinawa is very cheap, but you need a car, there is no train there.
In Naha's area, you can rental a good place to live and spend about 50.000 yens/month, but you need to pay in advance about 2 months as guarantee...

I want to come with my family then what will be monthly expenses. Company offering 60million yen PA. Is it OK ?
#RisingSon on Jul 03, 2014 :
170,000yen a month with good living & savings? If you can find 20,000yen room and consume 3x300yen bento a day... You may save 50-80,000yen a mth.

I received an offer from a company in Okinawa with salary is 1700usd.
Can I live good and save money with this number?

I've been a teacher in tokyo for 3 years now, and I make 300,000 yen a month, which is pretty good for an english teacher here, salaries for an English teacher are usually around 250,000. I think you can definitely live in tokyo on that salary if you don't mind having a very small apartment, and don't blow all your money. I live pretty comfortably, though I can't save much money.

270000yen from Yahoo? For what position? For a mid-career salary, and for a company like Yahoo, this is too low.

If I live there with my family, how much would I save in ¥'s ?.
Suppose, I live in japan on sharing basis with no family how much would I save?
#Mesiah on Feb 25, 2014 :
My income is around 7500usd + 10000 usd of bonus each year, I cant see myself living in Tokyo, The country is way too bloody expensive.
#JPGuy on Jan 19, 2014 :
1LDK about 50 square meter..
Factory workers have lower wage here.. Around 180000 to 220000yen for new grads. Usually not on city so lower living cost.
Take home of a 270k offer is 220k, not big but enough. 100k rent + 20k utilities, etc + 50k food & shopping + 50k saving.

2014 food prices got up a little coz yen got weaker from 80 to 105 per dollar
#gemi on Dec 16, 2013 :
But what is the average size of 1LDK/2LDK (Living dining and Kitchen)?
