Just forget about living in Naples: you can't even(!!) get yourself a gold necklace without people trying to steal it from you, what if I bought an expansive car?! btw cars' insurance cost in Naples has the highest peek in Italy. Barcelona is also an unsafe city, New York isn't. but what's the worst is the risk of getting cancer in Naples that's ridiculously high with all the local mafia burning toxic in the middle of everywhere and under the farming areas. Take a look at the Gomorra's series! As an advice, get in Naples just for a tour.

@Em I really hope you are not from Naples, cus' what you have said sounds very much like stupid prejudice from people who did not even visit this city. As to stealing, well that's what you see at Garibaldi Station, which you know, is just a station, and this is what happens in big cities. You surely know that Barcelona and New York are not cosidered safe cities. And personally, in 15 years here, I've never been robbed. As to pollution, I bet you have never been to Rome and Milan! Cost living is not low at all compared to the current avarage salary, but 2100 gross is more than enough for one person.

@Nitin yes 2100EUR is a moderate good income for one person in Naples. Cost of Living is quite low; but be aware of every kind of thief in Naples (people suddenly shows up offering you stolen iPhones), and forget about living in Naples with a Porsche... Also, Naples, is one the worst-living-condition-cities in Italy (stealing, pollution, worst public services, corruption and continuing), and, as this is a personal advice, I wouldn't be living there neither if I was millionaire. Go for a visit, but not for a living. The only good thing in Naples is Pizza and... that people kind-of-be friendly.
Best regards.

Ive been asked for a salary expectation for a relocation to Napes - currently earning £35k on the south coast of England. What would be the expectation for a line manager, managing maybe 100 heads and any thoughts on what a decent salary in Naples would be.....
#Nitin on May 21, 2016 :
Is 2100 Euros/Month(before tax) a reasonable amount for a single person to stay in Naples.
The accommodation is paid.

@anon my answer is yes, absolutely. Then your question is relative, what do you mean for live reasonably well?
##anon on Feb 03, 2015 :
is $60K annum (USD) enough to live reasonably well in Naples?
Thank You for your reply.

What do receptionists/office workers earn per week in Pompeii/Naples area?
#Anonymous on Dec 11, 2013 :
The average monthly salary is grossly overestimated and the rents are incredibly underestimated - many people will earn less than 1200 after tax and 500 euro/month is what a student pays for a ROOM in the city centre...
