The Median Monthly Disposable income is way off.

This article clearly states the Disposable income by region, it's no where near what is described here and that's why it seems that berlin has such a high purchasing power, eventhough it clearly doesn't.
#Angela on Mar 09, 2013 :
the lower edge of your price data seems either totally out of date or originates from the bleak parts of the city- not what a typical foreigner moving to Berlin for a new job would face
#Anonymous on Nov 30, 2012 :
In every German supermarket you will find „their own brand“ of 1.5 liters bottled water – still, medium or sparkly and they are all sold for 19 cents per bottle ( plus 25 cents deposit – but you get that money back so you can’t calculate that into the price really ) – of course if you want brand names the bottle will be more expensive – but this is really something that you can get in any of the chains in the country.
