Purchasing Power - A lot of people are struggling. It’s not bad if you have professional job but if you work minimum wage, it’s a struggle. It’s about average purchasing power as in many places in the US.
Safety - Pretty safe, crimes happen but I lived there for 15 years and only had a bike stolen one time. I walked around the streets at night and nothing happened to me. I’d say it’s pretty safe in general.
Health care - It may be high if you are covered and have a lot of money, if not - it’s slightly different story. Seniors and children are covered by the state, though.
Climate - Winters are rainy and windy but no snow and overall, more comfortable than most places in the world. Spring and fall are usually the best. Summers are extremely hot during the day but nights and mornings are comfortable.
Cost of living - Keeps going up, California is one of the most expensive states. Sacramento is not too bad but certainly not a cheap place.
Property price to income - It’s better than other places in California but not that great.
Traffic - Not low, constant jams around the rush hour. Quite a lot of cars.
Pollution - It can be bad if there are forest fires but the city is pretty clean.
