I would say the worst part of Beijing is not traffic jam, but the air poluttion.

With long time exposure in such air condition,

The chances of you getting respiratory diseases increase.
The chances of you suffering from cardio-cerebral vascular diseases increase(especially for older people).
The chances of you getting lung cancer incease.
The possibility of people suffering from depression increase.
The possibility of road accidents increase due to low visibility.
What a dangerous place it is.

The data are generally correct, yet the formula is not right for Beijing. I lived here for 12 years, it can be actually 110~120 currenly, the QOLI should consider more things.
