The Governments formed by both the major parties which ruled the state brutally ignored modernizing of the City corporation garbage yard over for around 20 years. This resulted in the degradation of the eco-system of the region around the Garbage yard and people fought unto death to avoid dumping garbage in that place. Now the food vendors, meat vendors etc. and even households dump garbage in the roads and makes the city stinky. The current government and earlier governments were only formulating methods of garbage handling on posh meetings and workshops and nothing had been done so far to address the problem. The only relief is that some resident organisations willfully resort to self-addressing of the problem. All the inhabitants have to take initiatives to address this problem apart from leaving "LET GOD (Sree padmanabha) SAVE THIS CAPITAL OF THE GOD'S OWN COUNTRY". OK... Let me start first !!!

Make your roofs green.when hectares of roof top are planted with small trees and shrubs, the air quality will improve
