Yes, we love living on the Gold Coast, although the violemce at night around clubs and pubs is a real concern. There are many places that we would not go to because of this. Crime on the Gold Coast is the biggest concern, with armed robberies, muggings, totally-unprovoked attacks, bike-gang shootings and drunken behaviour far more common than in the past. We've just seen (on TV two days ago) a Korean student who was sitting on the footpath with a friend when two other men came along and kicked the Korean in the head, rendering him unconscious. They then proceeded to go through his pockets and robbed him of money and mobile phone. It never used to be like this.
