Your analysis of crime rates in Venice I would say are very accurate. I visit several times a year and consider myself qualified to make that judgement. Especially so because over many years I have rented accommodation in every sestiere. The only thing that raised my eyebrows was the worry your car may be stolen (very low) & that something may be stolen from your car, (low). If you are including nearby towns (such as Mestre) that's fine (it is part of the Veneto area) but to be clear of the 118 islands linked by 400 bridges or so that form Venice itself the fear of your car being pinched has to be non exsistent! (Unless a floating one). To make the comment helpful I would add that pickpockets are a concern in Venice but being careful manages this. But a great website and very useful - thank you.
