Tel Aviv in general is a safe city , but not safe at night time at all like people think!

in some Saturday night , a guy almost murdered when he tried to get a Shared scooter.

I'm very surprised by the stats of crime presented here. In Tel-Aviv, be it Florentin district in the south or HaTzafon district in the north, your bicycle can be stolen in a broad daylight even from a lock. Same goes for any other kind of theft - it is just not possible to leave any personal belongings unattended on the street in Tel-Aviv, it will be gone in minutes. Apartment burglaries are also quite massive in Tel-Aviv and in cities around it. Peoples under drugs, walking around/riding a bike/a car in Tel-Aviv - absolutely normal sight. Tel-Aviv is even called "the drug city" among the locals in Israel. What else? Ok, level of violence is significantly higher in the south of Tel-Aviv, that's true - illegal migrants with illegal weapons are abundant there, especially in the "Tahana Merkazit" area. And in the northern districts you probably shouldn't be afraid of violence as far as at least in those districts the strict israeli laws apply. The general rule applies - the closer you're to the Yarkon river, the lower the crime levels. What else? Being insulted - an everyday routine in Tel-Aviv. Corruption - well, just read the local news. Otherwise, it's a wonderful city.

The chance of meeting a drunk guy in Tel Aviv is close to a zero compared to Europe.
Simply because what a country in Europe drinks in one day... they drink in Tel Aviv in one year.
We drink much more coffee.
If you do meet drunk people is only in one area which you have no reason to go to and this is only in Neve Shaanan...
and they are not Israeli but illegal workers.
Definately not in Neve Tzedek hahahahahaha.
Neve Tzedek is one of the most secured area in the world and you need to be very rich to live there.

Tel Aviv is quite safe among the cities in Israel. With lot to offer, restaurants, shops, malls, theater, cinema and many more. You would see many different types of people in Tel Aviv. Many have different opinions and views about certain things. Center and North are quite safe and has many things to offer, but in south it total different story. It called the backyard of Tel-Aviv, where you would see many refuges and immigrants from Africa. Some legal, some not. I wouldn't sugget to anyone wander south tel aviv for "fun", especially not at evening, after 7-8pm. There is nothing interesting to offer but drug dealers, violent, rapes, slums and many more. Walk there only if you have to, and with friend, in taxi or whatever. But do not go alone, especially as a woman.

South Tel-Aviv is big backyard that should be avoided at evening, at any cost.
