Visited Tallinn in June this year and it was great! Felt super safe all the time. Definitely safe for a woman traveling alone. Hope to be back next year!

I do not advise people to visit the Lasnamäe area and especially to walk there at night, and I do not advise people to walk on Sõle street. It is dangerous in some parts of the center at night.

In my experience it's a pretty safe city. Just avoid unofficial taxis or you can get scammed.

Tallinn is easily one of the safest cities in Europe. Even the city's "bad" areas like Kopli and Lansamae are much safer than bad areas in other European cities. There have been a few pickpocketing incidents, but they're far and few. Do watch out for drunkards (usually tourists).
