I have lived in Putrajaya since 2015. Previously, I have lived in Hull, UK, Urbana and Champaign, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Putrajaya is comparable to Urbana-Champaign in terms of peace of mind on safety. No ghetto areas or anything like that.

Living here in putrajaya for around 7 years, I can actually tell you that this city is really safe compared to Washington DC, but it has a big disadvantage when it comes to police presence, my neighbor was robbed once a year ago but luckily the robbers were arrested the day after, it's fairly safe here if you mind your own business.
