Some of the comments below are silly.Novi Sad is a really safe city.I lived there for years and I never witnessed a single crime.This city is safe.

Well, I don't know about this comments. I guess it is a personal impression. For example, no-one in my circle is a criminal, all are working people with families and we never discuss question of safety. We do however discuss question or problem with the corruption. I'm also a minority and that has never stopped me, even more, in my experience, it was beneficial as people are curious about me. The city has doubled to almost 500k people in the past 10-15 years and that alone comes with a certain set of problems but to say it's crime ridden or dangerous, I don't believe it to be true.

Completely wrong, the crime rate in here is very high, every 5th person is a criminal, mostly involving drugs & gangs or clans

Alright i have to disagree with this.As a resident i've seen violence by the police and the criminals greatly increase.And let me tell you walking around at night,expecialy if you are a minority is very dangerous.
