I had visited Muscat on four occasions. I used to go for morning walk alone. Never had any bad experience. For ladies it is quite safe. His Majesty has really raised the standard of common Omani people. Oman is a great country to live. Some of the Indians even have received Omani Citizenship and have settled in Muscat. Though getting citizenship is not so easy.

I am in Oman from 1989 July onwards. The best country to live and the best people to live with. The rule of this country is one for both Nationals and Expats. We respect the His Majesty for his effort to develop this country. Omanis are very good and supportive people. You cannot see such a good people who respects others. Ofcourse the safest country in the world.

Just returned from a three days trip from Oman. We camped in the mountains and on the beach. Felt very safe while travelling 1500 kms within Oman. No issues at all. However, when we went to Nakhal water falls my wife left the camera and a pack of cigarettes on the side and we noticed some kids were sitting around. When we got out of the water she noticed someone took her ciggies but left the camera alone ... boys will be boys. Not a crime at all but boyish thing I suppose. Otherwise tremendous country to visit and sound as Pound. I'd go there anytime and trust very friendly Omani people.
