I live in Pembo, Makati city for almost 9 years and I have probably never witnessed someone die, but that doesn’t mean Makati is a city where you chill and relax and stuff I probably think that areas are not safe though

Safety in Makati depends on the area where you are. Some areas are safe at daylight, some others aren't... But most of people there are friendly and helpful. Anyway Makati isn't a city where you should let yourself relax. Keep your eyes open and don't walk alone at night time. Also beware of taxi scam.
