A guy who's been to most of KRI on May 02, 2023:
kurdistan doesn't have enough racism, if you see a dumb arab kid you should always check your pockets immediately, though arabs are a small group so it isn't a big deal

I agree to this 100% but bribery should be higher even though I am ashamed of it as a Kurdish citizen there is alot of corruption I hate that were judged because were in the middle east and people outside the middle east think that Iraq is just terror while they are right they also blame Kurdish people to be terrorists but were not were kind why is our culture our history covered up by Iraq's action

Kurdistan is generally safe, there is alot of corruption and a fair bit of racism, especially with uneducated children.

Erbil and the whole of the Kurdish region of Iraq, where I lived for over two years, is one of the safest places in the world. In fact, it's a refuge for minorities, especially Christians (usually ethnically Arab - the Ankawa satellite town was mainly Christian with lots of bars and restaurants) and Yazidi (Kurds ethnically), from Baghdad, Mosul and the Nineveh Plains.
Like many countries, there is corruption galore, but it won't affect you as a visitor. There is a lot of low-key security, which is maybe why they're so good at keeping out the neighbourhood's problems, and the police and army are always courteous and friendly and won't bother you. Like much of the Middle East, the folks are outgoing, friendly and generous. The cost of living has also dropped since the heady days of high oil prices and the country is poorer than ten years ago partly for the same reason.
