Fort Lauderdale is different from any area in South Florida. Living here is like living in a bubble. All the locals know that just 25 miles down, Miami is a different beast. Maimi is a very young and wild city. Filled with fast paced activities. On the other hand, Fort Lauderdale is an old town. Slow paced, cool activities and quiet nights. The nightlife in downtown area draws inspiration from Miami but with less craziness and je ne sais quoi. I think it's missing that young, and Spanish vibe Miami has. Still exciting but Miami is the party of the south.
