But why? on Jan 14, 2020:
Peoria is a funny place... people are generally uneducated and poor, with a VERY high crime rate and homeless population. The ER is always overcrowded with dramatic drug-seekers so people with genuine problems often have to wait several hours.

That said, there are a lot of opportunities for growth and advancement, and if you don't have a job in Peoria it's probably because you're too lazy to get one.

It's also a great place to start a new business, as the more educated (read: people with more money) are always open to trying local, and the local news covers any business as it opens.

I live in Peoria right now. The school system is fucking terrible. It’s extremely segregated and opportunities are very limited. The stores are leaving day by day and the jobs don’t pay much. The taxes are insane. For Christ sake they charge a rain tax.
