We left Kathmandu after living there 4 months ago.Compared to Moldova the roads are horrible in Kathmandu.Things aren't as cheap as what's on here. Nice people though good food good weather.

Hi having been to Nepal as a tourist, I am appalled at some of the comments. Nepal has nothing to offer to tourists, no transport like in there countries. How narrow minded, if you want Nepal to be like your home town. Stay home. I had a fantastic time there, th

The weird part is why it happened all of sudden when the whole country was asking for corruption during lockdown incurred by government. Clearly Mr. O.p.Oli has learnt that he is in danger that's why all of sudden he throws nationalist card.
For sure territory is ours that could have been solved by dialogues between the leaders but it is done in so jiffy that he is not even understanding what he is going to do.
Our economy is remittance based economy. Have you ever wondered how many people really tried to kill themselves. Official data is 1200.If the oli government had spended that much the least could they have done is help those peoples.
Oli just diverted the issue.
I openly welcomes his resignation as prime minister.
And I am really looking forward for better dialogue between countries and hope that everything will become better. Our initiative is appreciable.

Nepal now under complete Chinese control.Likely to fall under debt trap like Srilanka and Pakistan. Now Pakistan is crying for help from IMF to repay Chinese loan or else will have to lease out the projects made out of chinese fund. This Poor Country like Nepal will not get a chance to CRY.They are in the wayfor their complete destruction. Good luck.

Nepal is not India and there is no family bond between the two.
India lies but Nepal don't lie and that is what makes us different.

But anyone in Nepal standing for the interest of India even at the cost of undermining Nepal's interest by willing to cut off Nepal's rightful territory to please India is clearly a traitor, yes P K Dahal Prachanda has already proved himself to be a traitor to Nepal by denying to undermine the interest of India even in the matter of India stealing Nepal's territory unlike the hero PM K P Oli who has been bravely defending the rightful territory of Nepal from being swallowed by the territory thief India.

Nepal have no intention to be turned into the next Sikkim kingdom so unless the territory thief India stops interfering into the internal matters of Nepal by using the traitor like Prachanda, Nepal may have no choice but to cooperate with China and Pakistan to beat the territory thief India to kingdom come.

If India were not afraid to be challenged in the name of territory thief in UN in the matter of Nepal's territory stolen by India which Nepal lent to the loser India in kindness in the 1962 China-India war but now India not only not willing to return to Nepal's territory from 1962 but also release so many lies regarding Nepal's rightful territory, is utterly shameless beyond word unlike never seen before in the history of great countries.

Sooner or later UN is going to handle the matter of Nepal's territory stolen by India since 1962 and then the truth would be revealed in the light and the whole world would realize the true colors of India which is merely a dishonest thief, the territory thief upon Nepal, etc and then no country would no longer want to associate with the very dishonest territory thief India from then on.

Before it's too late to save the last dignity of India, India must immediately return Nepal's rightful territory peacefully which Nepal lent to India in 1962.
No more lie or else no more option for India but to meet in UN to reveal your shame to the whole world and then consequently your worth would be as merely as an animal.

India territory thief is spreading lies in Nepal as if China is going to swallow Nepal.

Everyone including even the most stupid knows who the territory thief is, yes it's India which not only swallowed the whole Sikkim kingdom but also shamelessly swallowed Nepal territory which Nepal lent to the loser India in the 1962 China-India war and the faltering Bhutan which is under the evil manipulation of India is next in line to be swallowed by the India territory thief following the swallowing scheme of the Sikkim kingdom.

China also declared before not to swallow territory of any country and the 1962 China-India war proved China is not a territory thief by not swallowing the whole India or a part of India territory after completely winning a war against the loser India in 1962 but China have the right to restore its former territory in China Tibet which was stolen partly by the India territory thief.

Not only Nepal but also China is also a victim of the India territory thief.

So Nepal urgently need the reliable, strong China's support to maintain Independence and to restore its lost territory stolen by India since 1962 as well as from being swallowed by the wicked India territory thief.

Everyone knows Tibet is a part of China since the Qing dynasty of China but only the India territory thief dares to deny it shamelessly to the extent of protecting and supporting the Tibetan separatists in India since 1952 which makes India no difference to a terrorist to China.

@KLV Your statements are so ridiculous they are laughable. Income from the tourist industry makes up the largest portion of the local economy, remittance not being part of the local economy. Second, tourists are WAAAY less destructive to the environment here than locals. Third, you compare the 9-month cost for UK visa, the 5-year cost for USA visa, and 12-month cost to Australia, vs the 30-day cost of visa to Nepal, unwittingly proving the point that Nepal's visa fees are ridiculously high. Especially considering that a country with little to offer tourists, like Nepal, needs to incentivize people to come here much more than those other countries, all of whom need to limit the number of people visiting or they would be over-run. Therefore, Nepal's visas should be much cheaper than theirs, but instead, they make it much higher, disincentivizing the largest segment of their local economy.
KLV on Apr 19, 2020:
The previous post regarding high cost of visa fee is so laughable. Nepal should actually ban such cheap visitors. The contribute nothing to the local economy. They, however, contribute to destroy the environment.
Let us see: 30 day tourist visa to Nepal $50
Tourist visa: to UK US$150; to USA $ 160; to Australia $135!
