It's hard to guage up to date prices in Izmir especially when everything changes so quickly. But since corona prices have dropped drastically since fewer businesses are open.I don't believe Izmir tourism will be back for many years people afraid to visit anywhere and staying at home is the new norm.

Generally speaking; Salaries are not capable to cover expenses. So, the question is "How can they survive?" The answer is most of the people use bank loans, sell their estates, and so on! On the other hand, there are more than two people working monthly or daily in a house. Life is going on in this way.

There's s.th strange but! These are average statistics for both expenses and salary, but average salary is lower than average costs. Then how do people afford living there? Do all of them only get the chance to continue living without saving or investing? Correct me if I'm mistaken, please.

Apartment/flat prices have improved last years. İzmir is more affordable compared to İstanbul.
