Interesting! I've lived on the Gold Coast with my partner. Each one of us had a part time job, getting paid 20 to 25 dollars per hour. We were able to pay rent in a one bedroom beach front apartment and all the bills, plus affording ok restaurants, bars and some things we enjoy, like books, entertainment and technology gadgets. It's not a cheap place to live, but once you get a job you can do all your stuff, even save money if you're not a spendthrift and use your money wisely.

Hey guy, I lived in the goldcoast for 10 months as a student. It was one of the best times I have had in my life. Once I got a part time job, I was able to pay for all expenses with ease (moderate lifestyle)
It's a great city, and am currently debating on going back to live there for a few more years. (I'm from canada)
