a major flaw in these numbers for this website, is the lack of pricing on vehicle insurance and registration-- full coverage is very high in FL- I am not exaggerating- you can insure 2 cars up north in the Midwest, for what they charge for one car in FL.
--and $90/mo utilities in Ft Myers= no way, unless their A/C is broke- next door in Cape Coral a monthly water bill is easily $100-150, electric is over $100 for a 1br apt, house= over $200/mo- I have seen over $300 in July and Aug. -and they leave off cable TV!
people get into trouble fast with cost of living here- I needed a garbage disposal a couple years ago- I bought it in Indiana for $49- same one was $89 locally here in FL. These extra costs really add up and wages are in the opposite direction. And there are no deals on fast Internet. You can't live on sunshine.
