Looking to take a temp assignment in Columbia SC. Where are the better areas to look for extended stay?

First guy is clearly racist. If you have money then you won't live in a crime stricken area....Chapin is filled with rednecks so minirities beware so is Lexington..Richland County is very liberal and a great place to live. Columbia is a very average city, if you have money you're good, if you don't you live in poor areas. Race has nothing to do with it.

If your are planning on moving here, DO NOT move into Richland County or the City of Columbia. They have raised taxes yearly, added electric bill extra tax(Mayor Benji did that), extra penny sales tax, no idea what they would spend it on. I would look into Lexington County. The greedy politicians are not as bad in that county(YET). Crime is bad out the Two Notch Road area in Richland County. We have a large amount of minorities and crime/robbery/murder seems to just be their thing to do. Fortunately, South Carolina is firearm friendly for good people and you can carry most places with permit which is not hard to get if you meet the rules. Dont get me wrong, it is nowhere like Chicago or New York City where good folks cant have firearms to protect themselves.
