yes, indeed Cluj-Napoca (Koloszvar) is much more developed than any Hungarian city, except Budapest.

In Cluj-Napoca the average wage gross is more than 2000 EUR per month. Netto wages are more than 1500 eur/month.

Renting is expensive, but this city has quality of life. People are very friendly and open. Huge investments are made in IT and industrial production here because of best universities from this part of Europe.

Hungarian turist in Romania,

I can only recommend this high standard city - most developed city in Romania!

Yes, the high average wage is above 2000 EURO, this city is very fast developing with new airport over 4 million passengers with connections to France and other cities from Europe.

I like the city, has warm people, good wages here, high quality of life, better than in Paris or Lyon.

People can speak several languages English and German and French are usual.

There are so many companies like Porsche, Bosch, Emersson, de Longhi.. for expats is a wonderful city.

Come to Cluj-Napoca and enjoy Untold festival also.

Cluj-Napoca is a good city comparing it to Budapest or Belgrade but apartment prices/rents are ridiculous high(landlords are morons), traffic is bad and salaries are not as good as in Timisoara or Bucharest.

The guy that said that average salary in IT is 2000 euro is full of s*&t , if you want to find out salaries in IT look here and don't believe autistic dorks with bellies tanned at the computer's monitor. Btw I also work in IT so I know what I'm talking about

2000€ the AVERAGE wage? No way!
Maybe only for the very high educated people, the people working in IT and the elite...
#American expat to Romania on Oct 30, 2018 :
It's an incredible city - better than Budapest, Belgrade or Sofia combined!

Average wage is highest in Romania (November 2018) with 2000 EUR and is comparable with Sacramento - California, US where I come from.

People are more educated and speak several languages each. No wonder they are so developed! They speak Romanian, English, French and German in the same order! A lot of them can speak as well Italian (I have heard is something that Romanians can learn in 2 weeks and Spanish as well).

Most friendly city from Romania! Come and live here!

This is the best city to live from Romania. Wages are very high, for 2018 are about 2000 EURO average. For seniors in IT wages starts from 3000 euro/month.

Quality of life is the best from Romania here.
